Family Chalk

Family Chalk Contest

A fun way to get the whole family outdoors together and having fun is to have a sidewalk chalk contest.

For this activity you will need:
-Sidewalk chalk (you could also use homemade chalk paint)

This activity:
-Builds fine motor skills
-Builds creativity
-Promotes family bonding

Let each member of the family have a square of sidewalk or you can also use the driveway

You can pick a theme or just have a free for all (we started out with a 4th of July theme but ended up deviating a little)

Love this idea – you can’t beat a bucket of chalk for hours of fun. Ironically the guest post on my blog for the outdoor play linkp up is also about chalk! Thanks for adding this to the link up, Kierna

I love the idea of the whole family doing somei creative together. Mine all love chalk. Unfortunately they seem to sneak it into the house all the time. At least it washes off easily I suppose.

My littlest is just about 18 months old and has recently discovered the joy of sidewalk chalk (not only on the sidewalk, but all over her clothes, in her hair, in her mouth, etc) – so much fun! I’m a new follower from MBC – I love your blog (and your kids are adorable!)

Having read this I thought it was very enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and effort to
put this informative article together. I once again find myself personally spending
a lot of time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth
