This fun festive playdough is perfect for Christmas! It can be used to make all kinds of Christmas shapes and it smells like we are in peppermint heaven. Since we already have that wonderful peppermint scent, we used our playdough to make candy canes!
For this activity first make your playdough. Here is the peppermint scented playdough recipe.
For this activity you will need:
- White peppermint playdough
- Red peppermint playdough
This activity:
- Builds fine motor skills
- Boosts creativity
- Great sensory exploration
- Teaches about texture and smell
- Helps teach about the properties of objects
- Explores Chritmas themes, colors, scents
She started by sinking her fingers in the dough.
Then started making hand prints
Then we rolled then up into two long “Snakes”
Then we made our candy canes!
She had fun taking it apart again!
She did try to take a few tastes but I just reminded her it was not eat but that she could smell it instead. She liked that!
